Home // Heidelberg, Winter 2016

Life, Photography, Travel

Hey! As a lot of you probably know, I spent my winter break in at home in Heidelberg, Germany. Only slightly biased ( šŸ˜‰ ) but it’s the most beautiful city in the world and I love it with all my heart. If you’re ever in Germany, please go check it out, it’s so underrated, and I promise, you won’t regret it. I wasn’t too lucky with the weather this trip, (hence all of the fog) but I’m still so happy with how these pictures turned out. I’ll link some posts of my previous trips there below.

Here are some very long overdue pictures I took while I was there in December, Enjoy! ā¤

January/February Inspiration

In my opinion, January and February are the longest months evverrrrr… Midterms, winter and that time time of the semester where no one has any motivation. It just generally feels like there isn’t much to look forward to.Ā At least February is my birthday month šŸ˜‰

Anyway, negativity aside, here’s my inspiration for these upcoming months plus some of my favorites/themes-of-the-month written down.

Fukuoka Diary 4: Shrines and City Life

December 19thĀ

Woke up, made my self a smoothie, showered and got ready to Ed Sheeran. Literally could not wait to get out of the house and meet up with my best friend after 4 days of being trapped atĀ home. A few minutes past 10, Jo came over to drop her things for the night and we left the house. Camera’s at hand, arm in arm, we made our way downtown. With the intention of Christmas shopping we spent (literally) 9 hours in the city wandering around, thrifting, eating, sitting in the park and visiting aĀ local shrine.

Fukuoka Diary 3: Photoshoots & Lunch by the Beach

December 20th

“Shit. What happened to starting early?” Was the start of the productive part of our day on this particular sunny Tuesday morning. By this point (around 11 am) Jo and I had rolled around in our makeshift beds in the TV room, made and eaten pancakes with raspberries and finished the movie we (me mostly) dozed off while watching the night before.

As IB art students, creative photoshoots are a huge part of our friendship, she models for me, I model for her..Ā That’s how it works hahaha (see more here). Anyway, on this day, Jo wanted to take some polaroids and also take some pictures of me with sakura flowers she painted on my face. Even though we kinda rushed through this whole thing, I’m actually so in love with how the pictures turned out. She’s seriously so talented.

Healthy Breakfast Ideas

Food, Inspiration

Hey! recently I’ve been trying to eat a lot healthier and have been experimenting with a lot of new foods and recipes, in the past week or so these are the ones I’ve been eating most and I love them all. Enjoy!

The Pictures I took while I was lost in Osaka

Life, Photography, Travel

I spent last weekend in Osaka, mostly to renew my German passport but also just to spend a day chilling in the city. It was a new place for meĀ and isĀ quite a bit bigger than Fukuoka… that plus my poor orientation skills aren’t really a good combination, so I was lost like 90% of the time I was alone hahah… Thankfully I got to meet up with friends who knew what they were doing for most of the day. I had such a good time and definitely want to go back soon.

September Inspiration

Hey! So, August has come to an end and it’s officially September. September feels like a month of fresh starts for me. A new school year, a new season (supposedly), new projects, IB getting more intense, and a chance to make new memories. I’m feeling SUPER inspired for this month and so I made these ‘inspo boards’ of all of the things that stood out to meĀ and compiled a playlist of my current favorite songs. I also made a list of one-word themes of things that I like for the month. Enjoy!

Italy 5: Cinque Terre

Photography, Travel

Our last and my favorite stop on this trip was the town of Monterosso in Cinque Terre, Italy. The beach-town vibe of this place, the houses in the hillsĀ and the clear blue ocean water was just what I needed to finish my summer break and I had such an amazing time.

We drove through Pisa on our way from Florence to Monterosso, and decided to stop atĀ the leaning tower, pretty much just to take a picture and to see it lol (offered to help like 5 people attempting to make the tower look like it was leaning on them). It wasn’t that great to be honest… glad I saw it though haha.

Sweden Video

Hey guys! So as I’ve said previously, I got back from Sweden, visiting one of my best friends around two weeks ago, while I was there I obviously took tons of pictures and even made a video. Before I post all of the pictures I took I’m going to show thisĀ first. Enjoy!

I had a truly amazing time and I think you can see that in these five minutes. It was seriously so hard to compress all of the footage I had and even more so to try and cram all of the memories we made into just a little video, either way I’m pretty proud of it and am missing summer break like crazy already.
