Okay bare with me, this could get a bit preachy…
One month into 2017 and I have learnt so much. This is honestly surprising to me because I came into this year thinking that I was pretty much set on understanding how to deal with things and life and what not. Hahahaha no joke, this past month has been a damn rollercoaster! I partially blame this on midterms and all the stress I’ve been feeling but at the same time, I think that this was the universe or something sending me some type of wake up call.
Two of the things that I was conflicted this month were respect and confidence, or lack thereof rather. I’ll make a separate post about confidence but in this one, I want to focus on respect and how truly, fucking fundamental it is.
Woke up, made my self a smoothie, showered and got ready to Ed Sheeran. Literally could not wait to get out of the house and meet up with my best friend after 4 days of being trapped at home. A few minutes past 10, Jo came over to drop her things for the night and we left the house. Camera’s at hand, arm in arm, we made our way downtown. With the intention of Christmas shopping we spent (literally) 9 hours in the city wandering around, thrifting, eating, sitting in the park and visiting a local shrine.
I spent last weekend in Osaka, mostly to renew my German passport but also just to spend a day chilling in the city. It was a new place for me and is quite a bit bigger than Fukuoka… that plus my poor orientation skills aren’t really a good combination, so I was lost like 90% of the time I was alone hahah… Thankfully I got to meet up with friends who knew what they were doing for most of the day. I had such a good time and definitely want to go back soon.
Hey! So this Saturday me and Jo went out to Tenjin and basically window shopped, ate kebab and looked for art supplies (IB HL art life), a pretty typical Sar and Jo outing and nothing special but I thought I’d upload some of the pictures we took. I think I’m gonna do this more often too cause I know I’ll thank myself after I leave Japan that I took all of these photo’s and captured all of these memories hehe. This is pretty much an average day in my life with my best friend, take a closer look into my life and see some more of Fukuoka. Leggo
Luleå, Sweden was the last travel stop of my summer and I had the most amazing time. Me and my best friend since seventh grade reunited and it was like we never separated. We had so much fun and are already planning next years ‘meet up’ haha.
We swam in the cold lake right outside of her house, even though it was 12 degrees and cloudy outside (10/10 summer) lay topless in sauna’s, went kayaking and canoeing, cuddled with the dog, cooked, baked, ate… a lot, went bowling, went shopping, and so much more… We also finished all of the Saw movies, which I would definitely reccomend to everyone with a strong stomach because they’re surprisingly actually so good hahah
Here’s my week of amazing memories in some pictures. Enjoy!
